Another conference I want to mention: PowerTalk on February 3rd, cosponsored by local Toastmaster Clubs, Santa Barbara City College, and SBCC Adult Education.
This is a conference all about public speaking! There will be a number of educational seminars, and a most enjoyable keynote (I hope. . . I happen to be the keynote speaker, and I'm still working on something both brilliant and inspiring. . .).
I'm not exactly sure how one registers for the conference; on this page, scroll down to Communications for info on date, time and location. The SBCC Adult Ed site has some info here on registering for classes in general.
I hope all you Santa Barbarians will come out and join us on February 3rd for some inspiration, education, and motivation to get out of your comfort zone and learn to love public speaking!
