A business of ferrets or a romp of otters?

Okay, word nerds, we all know that a group of lions is called a pride and a group of ants is called a colony. And you might even be a smarty pants who knows that a group of crows is called a murder.

But did you know that a group of larks is called an exaltation? Or that a group of owls is called a parliament? Even better - a group of tigers is called a streak! Have you ever seen a streak of tigers? They're solitary animals, rarely even found in pairs. I can't imagine a whole STREAK of them.

If you've ever wondered what to call a group of badgers (a cete) or a group of hippos (a bloat), this is the site for you!

  1. So, I am just wondering what a herd of guys would be? Maybe there are way too many words for that.

  2. According to me and my husband, a group of guys is known as a "pack." Usually found cruising downtown club neighborhoods on Friday and Saturday nights looking for similar-sized "packs" of women.
