Back in the saddle

Whew, what a week! We arrived in Las Vegas on the evening of the Tuesday the 2nd, minus my husband's bag, thanks to the airline. We spent half of the next day buying him clothes and toiletries. I also came down with the worst allergy attack of my life! But we did manage to enjoy the performance of Cirque du Soleil's "Ka".

This was our second time seeing the show, and I can't recommend it enough. The technology behind it is unbelieveable, almost a character itself. And there are some moments that are so beautiful that they take my breath away. I recommmend either Mystere or Ka as a "first" Cirque show, if you've never seen them - and if you happen to be in Vegas!

By Thursday, we were finally able to enjoy ourselves. Thursday night, his bag arrived at our hotel! Friday morning, we headed home. Sunday morning we drove down to Orange County to Disneyland, and once again, I was hit with a bug. This time it lingered, and actually turned out to be a head cold. I seem to get sick only when I'm traveling. So I need to start boosting my immunity, since I've got two trips toward the end of the month.

I'm just glad to be home now, where I can stay in my pajamas, snuggle in my blanket and drink tea while I'm writing to you!

I want to mention this event I'm attending on January 31: Entrepreneur's "Women in Charge" conference. It's a free conference in Long Beach, CA, for women in business.

And this is the best part:
As a conference attendee, you’ll have 5 minutes to pitch an editor about your company and why you should be featured in Entrepreneur or on Entrepreneur.com. Make sure to bring a press kit or other information about your business to leave with the editor.

It sounds fabulous - I can't wait!
