Tell the stories that you love

Tuesday night on "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List," Kathy sought out advice from her friend Whoopi Goldberg on playing Carnegie Hall for the first time.

Kathy was concerned about needing to tone down her act for the audience. Whoopi first reminded her that her fans would be there - the show was sold out. Whoopi's advice (having also played Carnegie Hall) was this:

"New York audiences don't want you to BS 'em. They want you to do what you do and just be you.

Tell all the stories that you love, because the only way they're gonna dig it is if you're diggin' it."

Take it from a pro!
