How about a success elevator?

"Success is a staircase, not a doorway."

Dottie Walters

This quote reminds me that each step I take brings me a little closer to my goals. And that each step is an achievement in itself.

It's important to focus on the future outcome that I desire, but it's also important not to let the little accomplishments get by without acknowledgment.

Do you acknowledge the little successes on the way to your big ones?

I sort of thought (my) success was like running up a down escalator. I keep having to run harder up than the escalator is taking me down in order to make any progress.
(I'm hoping someday someone pushes that emergency stop button ;)

Great analogy, Jackie! I hope you don't wear yourself out with all that running. :-)
